It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that the Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Barry Dodd CBE, and past chairman of this LEP died in a tragic helicopter crash yesterday afternoon.  I have known Barry for 20 years and have worked extremely closely with him since the inception of the LEP, and for the past six years as his deputy chairman and close friend.
