New Board Members sought

We are recruiting to the York & North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership Board.  The Y&NY LEP Board helps set the strategic direction of the investment agenda at the LEP by shaping future priorities, developing partnerships and securing investment from both public and private sectors. New recruits will join the LEP as its geographical footprint shifts – from April 1 2020, the LEP covers York and North Yorkshire. “The planet, the country and our region, at every level, everywhere you go, we are in a period of significant change. We will shortly publish our Local Industrial Strategy and consolidate plans for Devolution for York and North Yorkshire. These plans will drive growth across, increase productivity and ensure businesses and communities across all of York and North Yorkshire are more prosperous. We will also be seeking to engage our regional neighbours in powerful and meaningful collaborations to achieve the benefits of a scaled approach to growth. “We are seeking local business leaders who can provide challenge and a more diverse perspective to our decision making. We’re particularly interested if your business is in one of our priority sectors – food and agriculture, bioeconomy, agri-tech and manufacturing, construction, visitor economy, health and social care, the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector – or uses circular business models. We also want to hear from business leaders who have experience in developing high performing, inclusive workplaces.” David Kerfoot MBE DL, Chair of the Y&NY LEP Board   A minimum commitment of six days a year is required. The closing date for applications to join the LEP board is Sunday 24 May.   Main LEP Board Recruitment Pack
