Circular Yorkshire Week | Yorwaste: Waste No More

21 October | On Demand

Thursday 21 October 2021, 12pm

Hosted by Yorwaste

An online seminar exploring waste as a resource, and its part in the circular economy.

You’ve probably heard the Yorkshire saying, ‘where there’s muck there’s brass’. Why waste ‘waste’? Rubbish should be seen as a resource that has value. So we should change the way we see waste.

This virtual event will discuss, explore and share perceptions of waste and how we change those to seeing ‘rubbish’ as a resource. A presentation will show what happens to domestic and business waste collected by Yorwaste from their perspective of resource management, with practical tips to reduce, reuse and recycle, and how this fits into the circular economy.

The event is hosted by Yorwaste Ltd, North Yorkshire’s largest waste management company, and marks Circular Yorkshire Week. It should be of interest to anyone concerned about the circular economy, waste, recycling and resource management. This is intended as a ‘lunch & learn’ event - bring your own lunch!

Circular Yorkshire is the pioneering regional approach by York & North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership to bring organisations together to accelerate the transformation to a circular economy.
