Circular Yorkshire Week | Circular Towns & Communities Guide Launch
Monday 18 October 2021, 2pm
Hosted by the York & North Yorkshire LEP
York & North Yorkshire LEP is working to help the region recover after COVID-19, creating stronger places where businesses, community groups, and residents can work together to realise new opportunities, such as Circular Towns.
A circular town involves businesses and the community working to reduce waste wherever possible and making best use of their resources, both helping to reduce their impact on the environment, and creating a more resilient town for the future.
Circular economy principles can help businesses thrive, towns grow, and the environment to flourish, and this event introduces the LEP’s brand-new Circular Towns Guide – a practical framework to help communities use these principles within their towns to create and drive collective action, and open opportunities for collaboration. Together we create a greener, fairer, and stronger future for our region.
The event will cover what a circular town looks like in practice, how to get started with the guide, and an introduction to some of the circular towns already making a difference in North Yorkshire. There will also be a chance for Q&As at the end, so feel free to come along with a question in mind!
