About the webinar
In this session, you will find out about our upcoming launch of programmes to support Communities and Places across North Yorkshire.
This will include details of grant schemes open to voluntary and community sector organisations, village halls and community buildings, and sports and active travel projects.
An update will also be provided on our grant programme for projects that build pride in our places – through town centre regeneration, public realm improvements, and support for arts, culture and heritage assets and activities.
Information will be provided on the expected timescales of application processes, awards, and contracting.

About UK SPF
The UK SPF is a central pillar of the government’s levelling up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the country, investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills. You can find out more in the prospectus on the government website.
North Yorkshire has potentially been awarded £16.9m to invest in people and businesses across the county. Download our initial investment plan – approved December 2022.
Over the course of this first financial year, activity has already been undertaken to deliver local community development, support for town centre activity, visitor economy promotion and carbon reduction programmes throughout the county.
