Bids Invited for £15m Fund to Enhance Northern Culture

The York, North Yorkshire & East Riding Enterprise Partnership is seeking high impact investment proposals to submit to the Northern Cultural Regeneration Fund that will drive economic growth in our area. Announced by Government, the Northern Cultural Regeneration Fund aims to amplify the impact of the Great Exhibition of the North which is taking place in summer 2018. The fund will make capital grants up to a total of £5million in the financial years between 2018 and 2021. The fund is anticipated to make three or four large capital grants over the three years of around £3-4million each. The LEP is seeking investments that will encourage sustainable cultural and creative regeneration, increase local opportunities and wellbeing and build partnerships with the cultural and creative sectors to increase investment and economic growth. Decisions on these grants will be made by the end of the current financial year (2017-2018) Prioritisation of bids will be undertaken by the LEP.
