Part of the Y&NY Growth Hub’s ‘Preparing for Change’ series, this webinar will help you increase your basic farm business skills, financial knowledge and enable you to gain a better understanding of VAT categories and how to comply with future legislative changes.
‘Preparing for change’ is a series of webinars designed to help you prepare for the biggest change in the agricultural industry for 60 years brought about by the UK leaving the EU and the transition to the Environmental Land Management Scheme (ELMS)
Commissioned by Grow Yorkshire and funded by the Growth Hub, the series of three free webinars will be delivered by ABT and tailored specifically to farmers based in Yorkshire.
This second session will cover:
- an update to your financial recording knowledge and the relevant digital skills needed in relation to HMRC’s Making VAT Digital and Making Tax Digital initiatives
- how to ensure that systems provide management information alongside legislative records
- how agricultural accounting systems differ from mainstream businesses
