Circular Yorkshire Week 2021
This campaign, led by Y&NY LEP in collaboration with our many partners from across Yorkshire, focuses on supporting towns and communities to understand and use circular economy practices. It positions a circular economy as a way to help strengthen and grow local economies by engaging local communities in collective actions that protect and benefit the environment, as well as creating new opportunities for residents.
This is the third Circular Yorkshire campaign and this year, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new Circular Towns Guide. Inspired by the approach of ‘circular cities’ such as London and Glasgow, the guide adapts a circular approach to towns and smaller communities to ensure that places across the region, whatever their size, can benefit from a circular economy. It identifies how they can contribute to achieving the UK’s Net Zero ambition, which will be the focus of the global summit COP26 to be held in Glasgow early November.
You can now explore below the Circular Towns Guide and Case Studies, as well as recordings of our webinars throughout the week.
